DUSTPONY is one person making records. This site is not an advertising business and there is nothing to gain from tracking anyone, so it doesn't. There are no third-party analytics, no advertising or social pixels, no embedded trackers, and nothing is ever sold or shared.

What gets counted

The site keeps anonymous tallies so it's possible to know whether anyone showed up: a page-view count, a visit count, and a count of which streaming links get clicked. These are plain numbers in a table — a date, a page, a song, a platform. They carry no identifier of any kind, so there is no way to single out a person, follow them between pages, or recognise them on a later visit. Nothing is stored in your browser for this beyond a flag that lasts until you close the tab, which exists only so one visit isn't counted twice.

Like any website, the servers keep short-lived technical logs of requests, including browser user-agent strings, which are used to filter out bots and to debug problems. They are not used to build any profile.

The contact form

If you write in, the name, email address and message you type are emailed to the band so it can be read and answered. That's all it's used for. It isn't added to a mailing list and isn't passed to anyone else.

Cookies

Ordinary visitors are not given any cookies. The band's own private rehearsal area — which requires a password and is not reachable from the public site — sets a session cookie to keep members signed in, and a second cookie that marks a browser as the band's own so their visits are left out of the counts above.

Google account data

DUSTPONY runs a small private tool that reads the band's own YouTube channel statistics — view counts, watch time, traffic sources and audience-retention figures — through Google's YouTube Analytics and YouTube Data APIs, using Google OAuth. Access is granted by, and limited to, the DUSTPONY channel's own Google account.

This tool reads no data belonging to any other person or channel. The information it retrieves is used only to see how the band's own videos are doing, is never sold, shared or transferred to anyone, and is not used for advertising or combined with anything else. Nothing is retained beyond the credential that permits the reading, which is held encrypted and can be revoked at any time from the Google account's own permissions page. Its use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

TikTok account data

The same private tool publishes the band's own videos to the band's own TikTok accounts through TikTok's Content Posting API, and reads back the public statistics for those posts. Access is granted by each of those accounts signing in, and is limited to them.

It reads no data belonging to any other person or account, and it has no access to anyone's followers, messages or private information. What it sends is a video file the band made and a caption the band wrote. What it keeps is the identifier TikTok returns for each published post — so a view count can later be attributed to the language it went out in — and the credential permitting the posting, held encrypted in AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store and revocable at any time from the TikTok account's own settings. None of it is sold, shared, transferred, used for advertising, or combined with anything else.

Children

This site isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect anything from them. Since it collects no personal information from visitors at all, there is nothing held to remove.
